Leona M. English

Dr. English holds the BA, BEd (Memorial U), MRE (U. of Toronto), EdD (Columbia University, NY), and PhD (U of Technology, Australia).  She has been co-editor of the Adult Education Quarterly and president of the Canadian Association for the Study of Adult Education (CASAE). She is a member of the Adult Education Hall of Fame, honorary fellow of UNESCO Institute of Lifelong Learning, and has twice received the Cyril O. Houle Award for Outstanding Literature in Adult Education (2013, 2016). In 2021, she received the Lifetime Achievement Award from CASAE.

She is continuing her research on women in the Canadian Association for Adult Education.
